My Seniors Keeper Foundation (MSK) was born from a legacy of resilience, community action, and environmental justice. In 2017, what began as a guerilla gardening effort by Hustlaz 2 Harvesters Co-Founders Bo and Wallace soon grew into something far greater—a vision for transforming neglected land into a thriving hub for healing and sustainability.
Since becoming legal custodians of the garden, MSK has established the Dix Street Applied Research Garden, a fully repurposed green space rooted in the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Through grassroots innovation, MSK has reduced crime, created pathways to employment, and sparked new connections between generations in one of DC’s most underserved neighborhoods.
Our mission is intergenerational at its core. We bridge the wisdom of elders with the energy of youth—creating a space where returning citizens, seniors, and young people work together to steward the land, reclaim their narratives, and build self-sustaining futures. From composting to solar power, green infrastructure to food sovereignty, MSK is cultivating justice—one harvest, one relationship, and one solution at a time.
