Now launching: MSK's Intergenerational Fellowship. Prospective fellows, mentors, and partners can join the interest list.
MSK is now launching the inaugural pilot cohort of its Intergenerational Leadership and Workforce Fellowship. This first cycle is helping establish a hybrid fellowship model that combines structured curriculum, mentorship, intergenerational learning, and role-based contribution. Lessons from this pilot will help strengthen future cohorts, partnerships, and participant opportunities.
The MSK Intergenerational Leadership and Workforce Fellowship is designed to help participants grow through meaningful community-based work, structured support, and intergenerational learning. The fellowship combines leadership development, mentorship, workforce readiness, and real-world contribution through projects and activities connected to the mission of My Seniors Keeper Foundation and Hustlaz 2 Harvesters.
This fellowship is rooted in the belief that growth happens through responsibility, service, support, and the sharing of lived experience across generations. Participants are not only introduced to ideas. They are invited into a process that values accountability, contribution, and community impact.
For participants ages 14 to 17 who are ready to build confidence, professionalism, teamwork, and leadership habits through guided support and meaningful service.
For participants ages 18 to 24 who are ready to strengthen responsibility, work readiness, communication, and practical experience through real assignments and community-centered engagement.
For older adults bringing lived experience, mentorship, and a commitment to restoration, accountability, and service. This track helps shape an intergenerational model of reintegration through mentoring that can strengthen both participants and community.
Participants in the fellowship are supported in building:
stronger communication and professional habits
confidence and practical experience
leadership skills and accountability
mentorship and intergenerational connection
greater understanding of community issues and service
meaningful opportunities to contribute to real work
Modest stipends tied to participation, engagement, and meaningful contribution throughout the fellowship
The fellowship is designed to be mutually beneficial. Participants gain support and development while also helping strengthen the work MSK is doing in the community.
The fellowship supports work connected to:
environmental justice
food sovereignty
green infrastructure
neighborhood resilience
mentorship and leadership development
community engagement and service
Through this model, participants contribute to efforts that matter to the neighborhoods and families MSK serves.
