Terms & Conditions

Participation in MSK programs requires agrement to the terms below, including safety guidelines, liability waiver, and code of conduct. My Seniors Keeper Foundation, Inc. (MSK) provides volunteer, training, and community engagement opportunities at its Applied Research Urban Farm and partner sites.

The Applied Research Garden operates as a demonstration site where sustainable food systems, renewable energy, and STEAM education come together. MSK develops and tests practical systems that strengthen food access, environmental stewardship, and energy resilience. These approaches are designed to be replicable so schools, community organizations, and neighborhoods can adopt similar models in their own communities.

What You Are Agreeing To

Participation involves outdoor, hands-on activities with inherent risks
You accept responsibility for your participation
You agree to follow all safety rules and staff guidance
You agree to respectful conduct while on-site
MSK and DPR are released from liability related to participation
Photos and videos may be used for educational and promotional purposes

Liability & Risk

Participation in MSK activities involves physical and environmental risks. By participating, you accept these risks and agree not to hold MSK or its partners, including DPR, responsible for injury, loss, or damages.

Safety & Conduct

Participants are expected to:

Follow all safety instructions
Use tools responsibly
Treat others with respect
Avoid prohibited behaviors (violence, substance use, unsafe actions)

Failure to follow guidelines may result in removal from activities

Youth Participation

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guardians are responsible for supervision at all times.

Medical & Emergency

In the event of an emergency, MSK may assist in securing medical care.

Media Release

Participation may include photography or video documentation. These materials may be used by MSK for educational, outreach, and reporting purposes.

Complaints & Accountability

MSK maintains a process for addressing concerns, incidents, and grievances. Reports may be submitted to staff and will be handled in a timely and fair manner.

By completing an MSK intake form or participating in activities, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed to these terms.
